Route 66: The Mother Road (part II)

After the cafe, I split with the kind couple.  My Route 66 journey has officially started.

With the excited mind, I rode on, but I had to stop for gas station because there is a 100-mile+ stretch without any gas station.

desert is getting closer and closer

getting lost... so i stopped at this restaurant.  this is one of the few buildings i could find in many miles..

sky is so blue..

there is actually some house in the bushes

my life saver... GPS...  i stick it on my gas cap.. hope it does not fall off

now i am finding my way..

it was windy and cold, so i kept my helmet and mask on

endless road... that is my destination..

wow, a bullet shell..  someone must have left it here..

hey, that's why mama said never go to desert alone without a gun.. :-)

Amboy... here I officially started my Route-66 road

Roy's cafe..  one of the most famous landmarks on Route-66

nice..... so nice

old pump... i dont think it's still working though

Roy's cafe, a historic site

to show my sponsorship, i bought a bottle of Amboy water :-)

some other buildings in Amboy

another biker.. but they are heading toward another city...

Route-66 mark on the road

oh yeah..  my dream finally came true

this is what i have always been looking for.

endless road to the horizon

To be continued...
